Herts chamber of commerce were looking for a more effective way of collecting information from their members about current and local issues, general business issues and opinions.

THE PROBLEM
The traditional methods of developing and managing paper-based questionnaires were cumbersome, costly and time consuming. They found the responses were often disappointing in terms of the number of replies and the time required to receive and collate information.

Having examined a number of options they decided that some form of web based electronic questionnaire would best serve their needs. They found that some of these systems were also cumbersome and expensive.

THE SOLUTION
Sigmer examined their requirements carefully and felt that Boomerang would fulfil their needs

The system allows Herts Chamber to quickly and easily develop questionnaires relating to current issues. The questionnaire can automatically be sent to a selected list of email addresses at the press of a button. It is received as an email and can be completed without having to go elsewhere on the web and does not require any downloading of forms or other data. “This takes the pain out of responding.” Say Herts Chamber.

Other significant advantages include a unique analysis section, automatically developed for each questionnaire. When responses are received this automatically updates data in real time. This saves hours if not days of data transfer and analysis time. The captured data can be also transferred into standard spreadsheet programs for further manipulation or report development.
